Marcia Friedman

Marcia Friedman was first a friend with many talents, not least are her abilities for writing songs and poetry, two areas in which I have little to no talent. I think her work is brilliant and I’m sure others do too. Marcia used to live in New York City and I live in the old city of York in England, which is kind of a nice coincidence. Marcia was my fiancé for a year, I'm a very lucky person indeed, but now I'm even luckier still because we got married on June 11 2005! Now we both live together in York - she is now Marcia Friedman Malory.

Perhaps with the exception of movies or films, writing is one of the closest ways to get a detailed look at our dreams. Stories, poetry and songs come from the subconscious at a most divine level; they show the author’s inner thoughts and let the reader inside her or his dreams, a true expression of the soul.

I began writing Sara's Story in 2002 after dreaming about a real person that I met with the same name; I know nothing of the person in real life and have not met her since, but her story began for me in my dreams. The story is not yet finished but is added to sometimes frequently and sometimes not so frequently; the reader may not believe this, but I do have a good idea where the story is going.
