LOVE SPELLS

There is a huge connection between dreaming and love.

1. For a woman to gain love.

Get a nice piece of paper and write, HASWATOS on it, burn the paper until it is only ashes. Put the ashes into your prospective lover's drink.

2. For a man to cause amorous feelings in a woman that he likes.

It's a bit more involved than the first one. It is a spoken spell that is to be repeated as many times as possible when the moon is growing fat; it also includes a bit of handicraft, but don't worry it is very simple.

Speak the following out loud: With the all powerful arrow of love do I pierce your heart, O woman! Love, love that causes unease, that will overcome thee, love for me! That arrow, flying true and straight, will cause in thee burning desire. It has the point of my love, it's shaft is my determination to possess thee!

Yea, the heart is pierced, the arrow has struck home.

I have overcome by these arts thy reluctance, thou art changed. Come to me submissive, without pride, as I have no pride, but only longing! The mother will be powerless to prevent thy coming, neither shall thy father be able to prevent thee! Thou art completely in my power.

O Mitra, O Varuna, strip her of willpower! I, I alone wield power over the heart and mind of my beloved!

An arrow is to be made as you repeat this spell over and over till you think it is enough; how you make the arrow is entirely up to you. The spell itself does sound a bit over the top, but that is the nature of spells. If you do feel truly silly or uncomfortable with the words; I suggest changing them a bit to suit you, nothing is written in stone. Give it a go and let me know the results, good luck.

3. Good Fortune Spell

Whether you need luck in love, work or play, use this spell to make your wishes come true. During a new moon write your wishes on a piece of paper and visualise your desires being fulfilled. Then take three bay leaves and place them on the paper. Fold the paper into three, enclosing the leaves, then once again visualise your wish coming true. Then fold the paper into three again to form a thin envelope. Hide this in a dark place. Reinforce your wish by repeatedly visualising your wish coming true. When it does burn the paper as a mark of thanks.

Different times of year had huge meaning for couples in the past. Each season had a link to a life shared with the land, some of us may have lost sight of this but we are still affected by the different amounts of sunlight and varying temperatures over the cycle of a year; becoming thoughtful by the warmth of heating in the winter and active and more joyful during the summer. Other cycles are still important to us and unavoidable, such as a woman’s menstrual cycle that ebbs and flows with the changes of the moon. Choosing a time based on this knowledge to cast a spell or make a love charm can add great significance to your work.

Wheel of the Year Wheel of the Year

Thirteen Moons

phasing moonThe waxing and waning of the Moon has always been closely affiliated with a woman’s menstrual cycle. It takes thirteen nights for the Moon to grow full, some say this is also connected with the auspicious characteristics of the number thirteen, and the full twenty-six days is the length of the menstrual cycle. At the full Moon a woman is often ovulating and is at her most fertile; it is a time of great beginnings when her body may become filled with new life. The Celts considered the new Moon (the dark Moon) a time of death and rebirth. This is the time in a woman’s menstruation when she would often withdraw into her ‘Moon Time’. This is a powerful time of initiation, learning and wisdom; a time for new beginnings and letting go of the past. In many cultures the goddess of the Moon protects lovers.

MONEY

1. For attracting money.

Get a silver coin and wrap it in some clean orange paper and sit cross-legged on the floor with the little parcel in front of you. Light two green candles, one either side of the package, with insense burning in the background. Concentrate on the silver coin in the orange paper and see it growing into a huge pile of money in your imagination; try and hold on to the image and chant the following:

When the grey owlet has three times hoo'd

When the grinning cat has three times mewed,

When the toad has croaked three times in the wood,

At the red of the moon may this money be good.

Sit for a while contemplating the growing money then repeat the ritual a further two times, three in total. Blow out the candles, left first then right, and carry out the ritual every Wednesday for three weeks.

2. Piggy Bank Money Spell

Get a piggy bank and place it under your bed; every day for 27 days you must put a coin inside in the morning. Every night before you go to bed sit comfortably with your right palm cupped in front of you facing the ceiling; place your left palm on top, facing down, with your thumbs touching each other. Then, with your hands at chest level, chant the following, ‘OM MA KNEE PAD ME OM’ nine times. Following this ritual for the full 27 days is sure to bring riches.

RAIN-MAKING

1. Some South American Indians throw ashes into the air to condense the clouds and induce rain.

2.To induce rain in Java, two men hit each other on the back with sticks until they bleed; the blood represents rain.

3. A rare group of peasants in the mountains of Japan sacrifice a black dog to the dragon god of the river; if it doesn't rain they take down his image and throw it into the rice fields, cursing it every day until it rains. After which the image is returned to the shrine.

I would definitely try number 1 a few times before moving on to 2 and don't recommend anyone trying number 3.
